Focus on Community

Community is at the heart of the garden communities philosophy. The design principles of garden communities place a firm focus on creating self-contained communities surrounded by green infrastructure and comprising residential and commercial areas.

Active and healthy lifestyles are encouraged through walking, cycling and public transport designed to be the most attractive forms for local journeys.

Please take the time to read about current and future projects and let us know if you would like to get involved. Contactus@aylesburygardentown.co.uk

Let's Get Growing

Aylesbury Garden Town’s Let Get Growing has been set up in response to the Covid-19 crisis, to help support, encourage and connect people locally, who are growing their own fruit and veg. You don’t need to have any previous experience, you don’t even need a garden, a little pot on a windowsill will do!

There’s nothing like eating fresh produce that you’ve grown yourself, it’s good for both physical and mental wellbeing. More people are trying it then ever before.  So what are you waiting for, Let’s Get Growing!

Join us on an online growing journey!

We have set up a Let’s Get Growing Facebook Group where we can share regular updates and tips about growing.  Working in partnership with Community GROW, we have launched two Community Food Growing projects in Aylesbury, one at St Peter’s Church in Quarrendon and the other at the Healthy Living Centre at Walton Court and we’ve seen the pleasure and satisfaction gardening brings to everyone involved.  We hope to now create a similar community food growing experience online.

If you’re just starting out, that’s fine, we’ll point out some useful information and videos, helping you to take the first steps.  If you’ve got more experience and confidence, then we’d like to help get you to a place where you have a source of food you have grown for yourself.

And if you already grow your own supplies of fresh produce throughout the year, or maybe even have an allotment, then we’d love you to join us and share with the community how you do it!
