Situated in the heart of Aylesbury town centre these two historic squares will be transformed through a council £4.5m regeneration plan to protect and celebrate Aylesbury’s rich heritage as a market town.

Market Square is the focal point of the town with its Clocktower, Crown Court and Corn Exchange buildings. The proposed plan will link Market Square with Kingsbury – the gateway to Aylesbury’s Old Town – to create a new town centre destination that is lively, attractive and open to all.

Specialist design consultants of public spaces, Untitled Practise, are leading on the project and will carry out the planned improvements in line with the ideas set out in the Aylesbury Garden Town Masterplan.

An engagement campaign is currently underway to find out what local people and businesses want to see and to share their thoughts about how the improvements will benefit the town. Regular updates will be given on each part of the engagement process.
